KABBAGE

KABBAGE has been dancing to the beat ever since he can remember so it was inevitable that he would end up on the other side of the decks.

His mixes are atmospheric with an emphasis towards the darker, more synthy side of house; powerful vocals and driving rhythms feature heavily in his sets (expect deep/minimal/melodic/progressive/tech house, peppered with electro or jazz vibes to spice things up).

He loves to keep his sets fluid, approaching each mix as a collaboration with the dancefloor, taking his musical cues from the energy in the room.

KABBAGE plays at House of Honey summer festival, Give! and also their one-off club nights throughout the year, and plays regularly at Century (private members club in Soho). He has also put on his own nights (at Peckham Levels and Hoxton Underbelly), and played at parties in London and also in New York.

He hosts a regular show on Select Radio (Multiply bi-weekly) and TooHotRadio (Can’t Stop Progress every Wednesday, and Groove Foundation every Sunday - disco, funky and soulful house). And he also presents a radio interview series, Cue Drops: My DJ Story, where he talks to DJs about the tracks and the stories that have made up their DJ journey so far – catch season 1 with shows from DJs including Bill Brewster and Jack Leonard at www.cuedrops.com. Currently recording interviews for season 2.

Before he got behind the decks and the mic, he worked in film and advertising production, his most recent movie projects include The Crow starring Bill Skasgard and FKA Twig with music score from Volker Bertelmann, and Return to Silent Hill, starring Jeremy Irvine and music composition from composer Akira Yamokoa.
