JOE KEELEY
Joe is a rising name in the UK country and Americana scene, fronting The Joe Keeley Band and building a reputation for blending outlaw country, Southern rock and modern Americana into a powerful, high-energy live show. Raised in Suffolk, Joe grew up immersed in classic country music through his musician father, an upbringing that shaped both his songwriting and his deep respect for traditional storytelling. After leaving education at just 17, he began touring and performing extensively around the UK, honing his craft through relentless live work and developing the raw, road-tested sound that now defines his music.
Joe first broke through as a solo artist with his debut record Headstrong in 2019, which reached the Top 10 of the UK country charts and established him as a serious new voice within the scene. He soon went on to form a full band (The Joe Keeley Band) with fellow Suffolk musicians, evolving his sound into a heavier, more dynamic alt-country rock style. That new chapter began in earnest with the band’s debut album Blackwood in 2020, which went to No.1 in the UK Country Charts and firmly cemented their place among the country-rock leaders in the UK. The band continued to expand their storytelling and sonic ambition with EP Burial Ground, in 2022 combining hard-hitting, riff-driven tracks with stripped-back, emotionally charged ballads.
Alongside a growing national following, the band have appeared at key events across the UK live circuit, including Maverick Festival, Buckle & Boots Festival, the British Country Music Awards and NashDown, supported by a headline UK tour in 2023. Their momentum has continued into the next phase of their career with the release in 2025 of Black Label Lady, taken from their hotly anticipated second album Hellbound. The single marks the band’s first studio release since 2022 and follows the success of Blackwood, delivering a confident, sonically evolved continuation of their signature sound.
Deeply influenced by outlaw and roots icons such as Steve Earle, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash, Joe’s writing remains firmly lyric-driven, gritty and emotionally honest. With a rapidly growing fanbase, a powerful live reputation and a clear creative identity, Joe continues to establish himself as one of the most compelling and authentic voices in the UK’s modern country and Americana movement.
